Hallway and corridor runner cleaning in Hong Kong, in two standard lengths. The highest-traffic textile in the home, cleaned on site.
From $550.00
Book ServiceA runner takes more footfall per square metre than anything else in a home. Everyone who enters walks its full length, usually still wearing whatever they brought in from the street. Soiling concentrates in a strip down the centre and at both ends, which is why runners look worn long before they are.
We treat the centre lane at higher concentration than the edges, because that is where the grit and oil sit. Pre-spray, mechanical agitation to break the bond between soil and fibre, then hot water extraction along the length of the pile. Steam at 4.2 bar follows to disinfect.
Small at 66cm x 240cm and large at 66cm x 300cm. If your runner is longer than 300cm, send the measurement and we will quote it as a rug.
We lift the runner and clean beneath it where access allows, since grit that has passed through the backing will keep cutting the fibre otherwise. Hard floor beneath is wiped, not polished. For floor polishing, see our separate service.
Runners in a corridor with no natural light are the slowest to dry. Keep air moving with the air conditioning on and leave the runner flat until dry.
Our minimum booking is HK$1,200 for the visit, across any mix of services rather than runners alone. They are usually cleaned with the rugs or carpet in the same home.
A four-step clean. Skip any one of these and the result underperforms.
Applied to marked areas and left to dwell, breaking the bond between soil and fibre.
Worked through the pile so the solution reaches the base of the weave, not just the top.
Solution injected deep, then dirt and water drawn back out an instant later in the same pass.
4.2 bar of high-pressure steam kills dust mites, mould, mildew and bacteria on contact.
