Leather Sofa Cleaning in Hong Kong

Leather does not get cleaned the way fabric does. It cannot be saturated, and hot water extraction would damage it. Our leather service is a separate three-stage process built for non-absorbent pigmented leather, which covers the large majority of leather furniture sold in Hong Kong.

Three stages

First, sanitise. A controlled steam clean lifts surface soil and kills bacteria without soaking the hide. Second, clean. The pigment layer is worked with a leather-specific solution that removes body oil and the grey film that builds along armrests and headrests. Third, condition and protect, feeding the hide to restore suppleness and leaving a protective layer that slows the next build-up.

Why Hong Kong is hard on leather

Humidity and air conditioning cycle leather between damp and dry, which dries out the hide and leads to the fine surface cracking you see on armrests first. Conditioning is not cosmetic here. It is what prevents that cracking becoming a split.

From a single seater or armchair under 1.00 metre through to a 3×3 configuration under 5.80 metres. Measure the total run along the front.

Before booking

Aniline and semi-aniline leathers, which absorb water and darken when touched with a damp cloth, need a different approach. If a drop of water soaks in rather than beading, tell us before booking so we can assess it.

Our minimum booking is HK$1,200 for the visit, across any mix of services rather than leather alone.
