Rug and Runner Cleaning in Hong Kong

A rug takes the full traffic of a room and holds it. Grit works down through the pile to the backing, where it cuts the fibres every time someone walks across. Runners take even more footfall per square metre, with soiling concentrated in a strip down the centre and at both ends. Regular deep cleaning does more than restore the colour. It extends the life of the textile.

WoolSafe approved

We are a WoolSafe Approved Service Provider and a member of the National Carpet Cleaners Association. That matters most on wool, where the wrong solution will felt the fibre or strip the natural lanolin. Our Ecolab French solution is pH-balanced for natural fibres and safe around children and pets.

Cleaned in your home

Rugs and runners are cleaned on site. Pre-spray on stains, agitation through the pile, hot water extraction to pull the soil and water out, then steam to sanitise. On runners we treat the centre traffic lane at a higher concentration than the edges. We work the fringe by hand where there is one.

Rug sizes

Six sizes, from extra small at 66cm x 120cm through to XX large at 240cm x 330cm. Measure the rug itself and round up to the next size if you fall between two.

Runner sizes

Small at 66cm x 240cm and large at 66cm x 300cm. If your runner is longer than 300cm, send us the measurement and we will quote it as a rug. We lift the runner and clean beneath it where access allows.

Drying

Rugs and runners hold more water than upholstery and take longer to dry. Air conditioning on, doors closed, and leave them flat rather than rolled or folded while damp. We can lift a rug onto a drying position before we leave.

Our minimum booking is HK$1,200 for the visit, across any mix of services rather than a single rug.
