Mattress Cleaning in Hong Kong

You spend a third of your life on it, and it is the one thing in the bedroom that never goes in the wash. Over a few years a mattress accumulates skin cells, sweat, body oils and the dust mites that feed on all three. In Hong Kong’s humidity that process runs faster than in a dry climate.

Dust mites and allergens

Dust mites are the most common indoor allergen, and a mattress is where they concentrate. Our steam runs at 4.2 bar and 140 degrees centigrade, which kills mites, their eggs, mould, mildew and bacteria on contact. For anyone in the household with asthma, eczema or a dust allergy, this is the single highest-value clean in the home.

The process

Pre-spray stain remover on marked areas, agitation, hot water extraction across the full sleeping surface, then steam to sanitise. We treat the top face and the side panels. Both faces on request for a turnable mattress.

Six sizes

From single at 90cm x 190cm through to super king at 198cm x 213cm. Measure your mattress rather than going by what the bed was sold as, since sizing varies between suppliers.

Drying before you sleep on it

The mattress will be damp. Allow several hours with the air conditioning on and the bedroom door closed, and do not make the bed until it is dry to the touch. Book a morning appointment if the bed is needed that night.

Pair it with headboard cleaning for the full bed. Our minimum booking is HK$1,200 for the visit, across any mix of services, so most households do every bed in one appointment.
